There aren't a ton of noteworthy issues in the sense of events or things like that - it's just a very steady title that never seems to have a bad issue.

#58 was out this week. #60 is the series finale. The last arc (and this issue specifically) features a showdown between Dash Bad Horse and Chief Red Crow, the two most important characters in the book, and it's just wonderfully done.

Any other fans of "Native American Noir"? I'm sad to see this book ending but it's clear that Aaron & Guera are wrapping up the story on their own terms. For anyone who likes Criminal, Fatale, 100 Bullets, that kind of thing, give this one a look.

The current version of Jay Garrick is actually younger than Barry Allen. Jay's 21 right? And Barry has got to me at least 25 to have his job. Probably older. That's pretty cool. Jay's actually younger than Barry. And Jay seems to be a bit of a slacker while Barry is motivated and has his life together. This makes for a very different dynamic then they had before. Just thinking about this makes me really look forward the inevitable team up. I hope it happens in the Flash book before an Earth 2/Justice League crossover.

Ramblings What do you think of THE most new reader friendly comics?

Now when I say new reader friendly, I mean what can you give to anyone? Even someone who has never read a comic. not just someone new to a character or universe. I have done this thread before in the past (If I remember correctly) but it has been years and lots of new comics have come out so why not again?

Here is my list below and reasons:

Y the Last Man: I just think it is really for anybody. Not only is it a fantastic story but it is also not emersed in continuity and it doesn't involve tights. There is a sci fi element but it is enough of a coming of age/mystery type story that I feel most people can relate ane enjoy it. Plus I have given it to quite a few people who never read a comic and they loved it.

Ultimate Spider-man: It just is. if you have read it, I think most would agree. Clean, fun story. Purdy art. Great comic that is good for a 10 year old or a 40 year old.

Fables: Most people know of these characters so it has a built in audience in a lot of ways. Plus it is written so good. I would hand this to anyone.

What do you guys think?

My question is...I thought I remember reading somewhere that it was later explained, retconned (your choice) that the Wanda in that issue was a robot. Is that true? If so, where and when was this explained?

Maybe we can start a nice discussion on the validity of a character's current status quo versus how they were prior to the New 52?

For starters, I think Roy Harper was so badly damaged that he IS better off now than he was. His daughter dead, back on drugs, his arm blown off...as much as people were complaining about him then and what had happened to him, surely we can all agree that he needed a clean slate. They can write him back off of the drugs, but to have Lian alive again? How easy would that have been to do and then face the reprucussions of the fan that disagreed with how she came back? There's always someone that won't be satisfied, but that would have been a stretch to do, I think. So, with all that he's been through maybe this incarnation of Roy is better than where we last saw him. Any thoughts or other characters to discuss?
