Don't forget, Marv Wolfman's trapdoor is still in play, Barry was time jumping then - so Barry pops out mid-run in the present day knowing that, at some point, he has to return to the Anti-Monitor's lair to finish the run.

Heck, you could dress up anyone in a Flash costume and substitute him for Barry at the final moments of the run.

You just need to write a story so good that it eclipses that moment of sacrifice so everyone welcomes the rescue.

Anyone who's read some of Barry's old stories knows that the guy had complete control over his molicules. Body destruction wouldn't mean to much for Barry Allen to reassemble himself. If fact, I think it's safe to say that Barry Allen's body might very well have taken more punishment than any hero. Period.

If it were a simple chemical change like cremation, I'd say there's a shot of that, but Barry was caught in an antimatter explosion...when matter and antimatter collide, they totally annihilate, am I right? Or at the very least become completely altered.

Right, he can return without negating the fact that he dies in Crisis.

Theoretically. Of course, since Barry was in the Anti-Matter Universe, if we were to use this logic, he should've exploded the minuite he sat down (and I think we all know how painful THAT is).

Or at the very least become completely altered.

Who's to say he wasn't?

Of course, since so much of Crisis has been negated by now, it's almost ridiculous to keep this one thing as the only thing that happened.

Not me. I'm just saying that if he were deconstructed and altered on a subatomic level, his molecules might not be the same at all. Barry can control his own molecules, but if those molecules were converted into energy or completely different molecules, how would he control them?

I know, I'm just saying that even in Wolfman's loophole, Barry died in Crisis. So maybe it's time to start looking for another loophole.

How did he ever? Comic book science! Who knows? Maybe Barry Allen in his new form is Supernova (I kid, I kid!!!)....

Superboy-Prime had restless leg syndrome and BAM! Barry never died in Crisis. Heck, didn;t one of the 52 back ups already show Barry fighting in Zero Hour, well after he died in Crisis?

I guess we shouldn't tell you that Hawkman's history was messed up due to a sneezing fit he had because of an allergy to ragweed then......

But is the world ready for the adventures of Kid Flash, fastest gun in the West?

Obviously, someone else other than me read Chuck Dixon's wonderful Graphic Novel......"The Justice Riders"....an Elseworld retelling of the JLI team in the old west.

Great book.....Wally West, Kid Flash, the fastest gun in the West on the run for the killing of Marshall Barry Allen in Abilene, Kansas.....Sheriff Diana Prince......Hawkman as an Indian Shaman....Grifter Booster Gold.....Inventor Ted Kord......Bounty Hunter Guy Gardner.....

Ah but then again I digress......

No matter what the question, the correct answer is always food of some sort.
